Your adventure will begin with meeting your musher and BRRR's amazing four-legged athletes. Your visit to the dog yard is an adventure all on it's own!! You will learn about the sleds, harnesses, booties, some mushing vocabulary, and then the real fun begins! After hooking up the sled dogs, out into the forest you go!
Our Individual Rides are offered for those "mushers" who want to try out the sport first hand without committing to a full day or weekend. Our sleds can carry from 1-2 individuals depending upon snow/trail conditions and your musher reserves the right to determine sled capacity.
Cost: $125 per person, approximately 2 1/2 hour experience If you are looking for a longer adventure then the Extra Mile is for you!
You will have an opportunity to take photos during your adventure, and we are certain you will find the vistas within the forest as breathtaking as we do. Following your adventure you will have time to bond with your dogs, roast marshmellows and have a cup of hot chocolate or coffee. You will be invited inside to take the chill off and to visit with members of the BRRR staff. If you didn't know much about mushing prior to your visit, you certainly will after it!
Rides are available from the first weeks of October through mid-March and the Northwoods is beautiful during both the winter and fall months. Cart rides (limited to 3 guests each ride) are available on select dates in the fall, and when the snow falls, the sleds come out. Fall rides are the perfect way to enjoy mushing without getting too cold! Exploring the forest with a sled dog team anytime of the year is truly an amazing experience.
